So i am not a fan of the chain store scent cover sprays and all that stuff. I do pack my hunting clothes in a rubbermaid where they stay until i get dressed i also put mesquite chips in the bottom of the rubbermaid that stays in there as well as i hunt south texas. I have patterned a nice buck on a trail but he does not frequent feeders at all. So i am wanting to put up a pop-up brushed in very well of course saturday morning and start hunting it saturday night. Here is the crazy question. We have cows on the property so for extra scent cover i was contemplating scooping a bucket of cow crap and putting in in proximity of my ground blind for extra scent cover. does this just seem dumb or could it work.

Couldn't hurt. I use to step in as much as I could from the truck to the blind to cover my tracks.

I would build just a really good brush blind instead of brushing in a blind. Less scent. A cattle panel with brush zip tied to it is just as good as a ground blind. I would approach the setup to build it and hunt it using the wind to your advantage.

STX i was kinda on the fence about the whole pop up thing anyways. It was a toss up i had thought about just brushing in an area and working with that. I have some cattle panel i can use.

i had planned on stepping in cow crap anyways as i always seem to do one way or the other on accident. Will also be placing some Tinks 69 a little off the trail to aid in cover. In the hopes of drawing their attention away from me.

I have built blinds in front of a tall cactus. Cut a whole in one that is thick and tall enough then stack brush in front to hide you.
