This buck has 2, 5 inch tines on the left side but in the right it's just the main beam and two 1 inch tines. Is this a growth disorder?

Could be genetic or an injury

The way he is hanging, I'd say "yeah"J/K grin Honestly, more likely an injury at some point.

Deer don't need to be labeled like people do. He just grew a goofy rack.

Injury related and most probably to a leg or hoof area.

Oh yeah, and as far as we could tell he had only a single testicle. Some hoof damage on rear leg same side as short horn. confused2

It can't be an injury because there is no sign of a break.

Injury to a hoof or leg can effect antler growth, that's what we are saying

It could be an injury, genetic, or parasite. There are parasites that can get into the arteries and restrict bloodflow that would contribute to the growth of the antler. I didn't believe this until I got the chance to meet a veterinarian from Texas A&M this past summer. We started talking about parasites and handling them with wormer - drench and pour-on, injectable. The conversation got into signs of animals showing stress from parasites and he brought up antler growth and showed me some pictures of various deer. Some looked just like whats in your picture. If I remember correctly its near impossible to kill them in such a case and not kill the deer as well. I used to just think of intestinal parasites and was unaware that such could happen but apparently there are some type of parasites that can cause this.
