Century says they are out of parts kits and will produce no more vz58 style rifles. Every online retailer is out of stock except palmetto. Jg sales just put out their New price guide with the synthetic at 899 and wood at 1299. A great investment if you ask me.

Dang! I bought a folding stock version from palmetto earlier this year, with 5 mags, mag pouch, bayonet, and sling for 499+tax.

If you're interested in one -- PSA has them on sale right now for a very low price ($379.99) and they'll almost certainly never be this cheap again: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php...ning-kit-sling/personally, I won't touch anything with Century (/CAI) in the name, but to each his own.

CAI only imported the parts kits and marketed/sold the finished product. The guns were built by subcontractors.

I was always skeptical of CAI stuff, but took a chance on the vz2008. Have not shot it a bunch, but fit and finish is good, and it functioned good. Tempted to buy another at that price.
