Lets see your hunting cabin. Here's mine. New trim on corner is an uh-oh where I backed in crooked delivering water to the gravity feed tank.

Nice. Care to share the building plans? Wanting to upgrade to a larger newer cabin from this one.

This is the only one I got on my work computer. My dad, brother, and I built it all.

Dave I had no real plans. I will be glad to help any way I can as for as any info. The cabin is 24x24 with a 6 ft front porch and a 8 ft rear deck. All one room inside with a 8x6 bathroom in one corner. Hope this helps

This is what I dream about to live in. For the rest of my life. It's really all a man needs. My wife has different ideas however.

Yea, it's pretty low maintenance. Had a guy do the shell for me and I did all the interior work. I electricity at the ranch and county water. But I put in a 10,000 gallon rainwater system and I use that for my 2 cabins and use the county water for my home.

Wow, I could definitely live in any of these. Very nice fellas. I don't have a cabin, we have a small bunk house close to the main house and have since fixed up an old single wide trailer that we stay in with bunk beds/kitchen/bathroom-shower as to not upset anyone by using the facilities in the main house. Since I was a kid my dream has always been to have my own hunting property that I can pass on to my kids and build a nice cabin on it big enough for family/friends to be comfortable. Maybe someday.....

Great job on this one. I like the interior walls.

Thanks we had fun building our cabin. As much as I would like to take all the credit for the walls I can't. That goes to my wife who sanded and stained all the walls and cedar trim. Also the cabinets. She did a great job we love our cabin and having guest out to share it with. Thanks again.

Brother, you could have built the whole thing, every nail, but what your wife did, brought it to life. Nothing against you of course, finish looks great up

Thanks Dennis. I could not agree more. Also almost all of the decorations in the house tell a story. Many from our childhood and family. For example the old radio seen in the pics belonged to my wife's mother and dad. There is an ole coal oil lantern that my dad and I carried possum hunting many many nights. It is very special to us. The old double barrel hangs over the window in forked limb gun racks build by her grand pa many many years before we were born.

With all that history in the cabin, I think I'd be tempted to install a small sprinkler system. May save allot of family heirlooms IDK.
