This is a very nice WW2 Springfield Armory M1 Garand, S#3,728,685 manufactured in May 1945. It has it's original WW2 April 1945 barrel(the chamber is bright). The bore is excellent. I don't have any gauges but I did include a photo of the "bullet test". This rifle has a post war Walnut stock (or at least it was stamped post war with the unboxed P firing proof, could be a wartime original who knows). Here is a rundown on the parts I see:

Barrel - original 4/45 SA Manufacture
Bolt - postwar SA manufacture
Trigger Housing - WW2 - 14 SA (earlier than 1945 manufacture)
Safety - SA 11 (correct)
Trigger Guard - forged (correct)
OpRod - SA Postwar
Rear Sights - Postwar

This is a good example of a wartime M1 with it's original barrel. The post war parts indicate a rebuild at some point which is typical. This was a CMP M1 but I don't have the certificate (original owner couldn't find it). The finish appears to me to be original. Any bright areas are the lighting, any lines are fuzz or grease (you get those included free).

I'm asking $800. Would like to do a FTF in the North Dallas area (I am in Plano). I'm open to partial trades, depends on what you have. I can be reached via PM or email - elbattey@tx.rr.com. First to say they take it, gets it. I do have it cross listed.

I have a trade pending. Thanks, Earl

Thanks,
Earl

Still available for sale or trade. Trader interests are - .22 rifles, 12ga Remington shotguns, Marling 336Y 30-30, AR15 (rifle or mid length), maybe more? Let me know. Thanks, Earl
