17th anniversary Saturday and my bride wants to spend the morning/day/early evening in Cowtown. It sounds like she has her eyes on Sun Dance Square area. Any "must" things we should see, do, have a meal/drink ect...? We are open to just about anything.

Reata has some pretty good grub & you can enjoy a nice beverage upstairs out on the patio.. Usually have a nice wild game menu..

A trip to the Stockyards is always good. Also the Arts District art museums, Western Art especially, if you are into that kind of thing. The Kimble Art Museum is also top notch.

texas I am allergic to stupidity. You can't fix Stupid, but you can occasionally head it off before it hurts someone.

Lonesome Dove Bistro in the stockyards is a favorite of mine. Never had a bad meal there. Good steaks and a good selection of game dishes/appetizers as well. The rabbit-rattlesnake sausage is an unusually good appetizer.

After 15 or so years working in Fort Worth, I avoid the stockyard. The food is just not the good stuff anymore. Try The Original Mexican Grill up on Camp Bowie near IH30, or roll on past it to Montgomery and IH30 to Railhead for some good BBQ.

+1 on railhead. The old site is a drive thru beer barn with scantily clad women.
