Thanks men. I got blood on all my boots now.

Couple more days here then off to Michigan but it's been worth the trip already anything else is just a bonus.

up Big deer up North for sure! I won't be going back anymore now, but hunted Nebraska with a smoke pole for the last 7 yrs or so. Seen whitetail bucks taken from 250 - 300 lbs eeks333 I shot a doe that was bigger than most bucks here. Lots of meat and you don't have to worry about getting them packed in an ice chest. It's like whole other country......

I did hear the dog bark but the deer came from the other way.

These deer have hair about 2" long and a thick layer of fat. I shot both deer double lung with a Montec G5 and the blood trail was less than impressive. Both died with a short trail but the G5 hole was not big enough to really leave a lot of blood because the hole was plugged with hair and fat. Right where the deer laid was massive blood once they fell over but during the run the trail was sparse. I won't shoot them for these deer again.

I usually take some decent pics of my kills and I like the natural settings with trees and things in the back ground but for this deer I said ya know the back yard is where this should be taken that is his natural environment so here it is swing set and all just the way he was hunted.

Couple of these cows will fill a freezer up. I took these to the processor they said about 80 pounds of meat a piece. That's a big deer.

Last morning in Ohio and I've got a couple hours to try to kill all three colors of squirrels I've seen here, black, gray, and red. I feel kinda dumb sitting in the 20 degrees on the ground waiting on squirrels but hey it's hunting.

Did you shoot that one off of the swing set? That thing looks like it would attack children.

I think he could eat an infant.

I'm two hours out of the next stop before heading up to northern Michigan so stay tuned for Michigan hunting updates.
