Looking for an opportunity to do a late season "conservation order" snow goose hunt somewhere where the birds will be thick. Either by reputable guide, or even by an invite by THF member and I will help pay for fuel, food, and shells. Not sure where would be the best area to look at going or if there were any outfitter services that specialize in these type hunts?

Missouri and Arkansas seem to have a pretty good reputation if you're willing to travel.

Anything near Houston-freeport ? 20 yrs ago, yes. Now too much pressure and less geese compared to AR and Misery

Don't mind the beav he thinks he needs a quarter million birds to have a good hunt. Texas may not be known for it's snow geese but there's plenty of good hunts to be had without traveling too far.

Didn't want to bash texas. But if i had the choice to book a consv. Hunt, i would certainly pick arkansas or missouri. Thats all. Consv hunts are all about volume, and yes, i would rather have more volume. I had some poor to avg hunts in texas in feb/march in the last 20 yrs. But MO and AR are mucho mas better in my opinion. There is a reason why a handfull of south/north texas guides follow them from AR to MO.
