The season is over in Nacogdoches county? I don't think so. I believe Nav's right. Buck season should still be on for the general season until end of December. I don't have an annual in front of me, so not going to say for sure without checking. Get out there and hunt.

Exacyly what I was about to write. When I go to my place, two to four times a week, I ALWAYS have a rifle with me.

Wow OP, that's even better than when you wake up to start getting ready for work only to realize it's Saturday. The part of the season I enjoy the most in South Texas hasn't even started yet. I love the tail end of the rut and post rut.

I catch those hogs on my range again and I'm going to stack them up like cord wood and hang them [censored] up along the fences.

Now it's time to work up some new reloads....for me, 260 gr NPT in my .375 Holland and 85 gr NPT in my new DPMS Lite .243.

And hogs and coyotes. And attending hunting/conservation conventions this winter. And researching applications for hunt draws in western states. And shed hunting. And wetting a hook in my stocked pond, now in its 3rd year with F1 bass. And in June, continuing education on Wildlife Health and Management at TAMU vet school. And anal-retentive planning for next fall's trips. And continuing to hit the gym every other day.

And if there's time, write another article or three. Lots to do.....
