My girlfriend has been wanting a bow, so I pulled the trigger and got a Mathews Mission Craze this afternoon. Took her to Allstar archery in Lewisville and got it fitted for her. She was at least hitting the target when we left. I guess I have practice partner now. Told her if she practices everyday that she might be ready come next October.

Got mine a Quest Radical.
She was pumped about it for a while, even went and sat in a tree stand once.
Once it began to get cooler outside that changed pretty quick.
She will at least still come out and shoot once or twice a week with me.
She is shooting around 38-42lbs best I can tell... Don't know for sure though.

We have it set around 20-25 lbs right now, going try and move it every month to get it up to where it needs to be.

Chad if she practices regular and gets good before next October take her hunting when she is ready. Too many places out there like Three Fingers that she can get good shot ops and peak her interest as well as swell her confidence in preparation for deer season.

Thats the plan for now at least. I'm hoping she gets the hang of it and we might try some pigs this summer.

Think Mrs. Hag would shoot if she could draw it back. What do y'all think the would be the lowest draw weight for hunting?
It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

Think Mrs. Hag would shoot if she could draw it back. What do y'all think the would be the lowest draw weight for hunting? With the right arrow/broadhead setup 35 lbs will work with todays compound bows keeping the range short like inside 25 yards max. For that though would want them shooting very good and able to put the broadhead where it belongs, then again that goes with any poundage bow. A Craze or Infinite Edge or Radical at 35lbs will be faster with the same arrow as a 40lb recurve that is legal in states having a minimum draw weight.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch
