Decided to do an all night sit on Friday night after deer hunting. Baited the hog trail that is to and from the pond that is a quarter mile from the pond. Was sitting about 60 yards away with the red spotlight ready. 9:00 fog rolled in THICK,(weatherman had no mention of that in the forecast) figuring the hunt was over I decided to stick it out. Moved about 30yards closer to the target area and did a test with the spotlight and showed I should be a little closer but didn't want to take that chance and figured I would at least be able to make out a siloutte (wind was perfect, I could have been 10 yards away) 5 mins later I heard some munching of corn and told my son they are out there. Pulled up the spotlight and rifle and could only see 4 hogs 3 of which were about 50 lbs and one that was bigger. Fog was so thick it was hard to get spotlight and scope just right on the bigger one but they weren't leaving and I took my time. Put an immediate kill shot on the bigger one and the others ran off, not far but with the fog could not locate the others to take them out. So not a slaughter night but meat in the freezer. My son posing with my second ever hog. In the pic u can litteraly see how thick the the fog was at a few feet from each other, we were soaked from the density of it.

Nice image!

Seems like a lot of fog of late. I like it for the most part.
