How much is too much? I visit my blind every morning, stay about 4 hours a morning and call it a day. I used to see a lot of does, up to 9 at once. Now I'm only seeing 3 groups of does. All my game cams keep showing does tho. Am I putting too much hunting pressure? Did I scare off the other does?
Like a good friend used to say, hope is the last thing that dies!

Do you hunt the wind? How do you access the stand? Have you been busted? How far do you park? Do you get in or out with deer around? Have you shot this year?
No doubt you can put too much pressure on a place, but you can also hunt a place everyday and if done correctly, shouldn't have a problem.
My guess is wind has been an issue if you hunt it every morning.

Deer pattern us better than we pattern them. Bet you have been busted a time or two without even knowing it.

The current issue of Deer and Deer Hunting magazine includes a good article that covers a recent study of hunter pressure on deer behavior. After monitoring radio collared deer that lived in an area with more than 100 stand sites, the researcher found that it took an average of three days for deer to return to areas near stand sites where hunters had been spent time.

Ive seen deer jog or trot across openings and then slow down once they reached the thicket. One time I watched 3 deer do it on the same trail all about 5 minutes apart from each other. This was at a blind site that was used a lot by various hunters. They knew not to hang out in that clearing very long.

My totally un-scientific opinion is that you sitting in a stand will have no affect on whether a deer comes to the feeder each day as long as they don't bust you by seeing you or smelling you. I came to my conclusion with years of only being able to hunt on Saturday & Sunday and seeing the same deer on Sunday as I did on Saturday.

I've seen that as well with small groups of doe, and an occasional lesser buck. But never with an older buck.

If a deer gets "educated", then it will put that "education" to use.
