No I am not. Learn MOA or learn Mil. Adjust corrections for conditions as needed. Re-read the first post. I stated my Wolfe City dope was off by .1 Mil from 600-800 yards for Sanderson. That aint too hard to remember. Go to Colorado and perform the same check and adjust as necessary. But hey if you got the coin to let manufacturers charge you $100 to do what I did for $1, I'm happy for you.

Gotta believe the bullet. I always try to shoot in my dope, and then compare it to what the calculator says. The apps will get you close, and are a great starting point. But nothing beats out live rounds on target.

They cost more, they do have awesome glass, but they don't have very good turrets.

So did you figure the dope out on your range or using the app to figure it Shoot on my old velocity from a brand new barrel and virgin brass. But I was shooting on second loaded brass (= faster) and a seasoned barrel (= faster again) I checked 100 yard zero and went to 400. Old DOPE hit a bit high, document. Move to 500, hit high, document. I saw a pattern developing and took .2 Mil off for 600, center hit. Same at 700 and 800. So now you have field DOPE, go back into the calculator and adjust velocity input until the calculator matches what I just shot and witnessed. That's truing your DOPE, no chronograph needed. That load and rifle initially made 2935 fps, now in the calculator it is locked in at 3080 fps. My 260 Rem did it, and I fully expect my 6.5 Creedmoor to do it once I get on the second loading of my brass with a .003" bump on the shoulders. So I put good data in, in Wolfe City so that I could get good data out 540 miles south west of home. I fully expected to have a higher density altitude in Sanderson since it is higher above sea level than Wolfe City, and it was warmer there while I was hunting. But what do I know, I don't use Swarovski rifle scopes.

I can usually get it done without consulting a ballistic calculator. To 800 yards, at least.

For what it's worth. I stopped using chronographs years ago. I just don't use them enough to justify the cost. I work up accurate loads and get my dope much the same way the fireman stated above. Long distance range time, and logging the results, trumps a chronograph every time. Shooter app and other calculators have muzzle velocity calibration for a reason.
I also agree with Fireman about bdc reticles and turrets. They just aren't flexible enough for real world use. Do those Swarovski's adjust in Mils or MOA? How many mils or moa per turn on that BDC knob? How many turns total? I know they use a mil reticle in the BRH. It's actually quite a nice reticle. I'm glad they didn't use some silly BDC design when coming up with the BRH.

Why not offer a turret like the swaro, that has 6 or 7 rings that would fit any mfg turret. Then it's easy to change for environmental. No worries about glue and cold or rain.

Because targets aren't in perfect hundred yard increments away from you.
What would you do about a shot at 435 yards? Or 347, or 532, or 628? With Mil or MOA I can compensate for odd ball ranges. You and your rings will have to dial over or under causing a miss. A miss since there is no such thing as close enough.
Next question?

Next question? You stuck on the wrong thing. Think if you had a MOA or MIL turret and you could change you dope marks just like the swaro rings. But instead of three, maybe 6 rings. You still have clicks inbetween Make sense now?
