Pretty cool, and a nice deer taken at the same time. TPWD - cheers

For additional reading pleasure, some very sad, read the idiotic comments from the liberals.

Excerpt from the Chron article:
"The first hunt under a new law which allows charities to bring critically ill and disabled young people to Texas under reduced permit fees has gone ahead at a Hill Country ranch.

The United Special Sportsman Alliance campaigned for the change in legislation which was passed last year. USSA has been organizing hunts to fulfill wishes from terminally ill children since 2000.

The new law means that instead of paying the out-of-state fee of $315 dollars for a hunting permit, the charity pays the same as a Texas resident, just $30."

That's awesome.

Some people don't understand it. As long as they stay in their own little, innocent world, everything will be okay.

That's really cool! I wonder if TP&W would set up a fund for Texans to pay for the tags? I'd buy tags for a kid or two. I know in the grand scheme of the hunts the tag is next to nothing, but it would be so easy to do and would be a great gesture from our state to the young hunters. "Not only are you welcome here, we'll pick up your tag!"

As the father of a disabled child, I applaud this piece of legislation.
