I've have a 2006 Chevy 3500 that the headliner has finally starting falling off. Whats a good way of fixing or is it better to just replace? Where's a good palce to get a replacement?

Talk to someone in the business for pointers then do yourself. Never had much luck trying to patch etc.

Done a good bit of research on internet and there must be 50 different adhesives that people recommend. Just trying to figure best way, don't want to do it more than once. Looks like a pain to remove headliner from truck.

For adhesive, the aerosol 3M stuff at Homedepot has done fine with me. They have one that specifically sayd for use on headliners. It ain't cheap and I end up using about half again their rated amount for coverage, but haven't had a headliner fall back off yet. Once you have the headliner panel out of the truck it's really not that hard. Just clean all the old foam off, lay the material out, fold back half of it, spray the panel and material, work it down from the center out to avoid wrinkles, do the same for the other half. Flip it over, trim the edges so about an inch overhangs the perimeter, notch you corner cuts, spray adhesive so it covers the inch of material and an inch of panel, let it get tacky and fold everything over to stick it down. Then the funnest part of all, getting the nice new panel back in without screwing it up.

When I did the custom interior in my '71 C10 I used weldwood contact cement. But was doing a lot of it, and have a gun that will spray it. It's not compatible with just any foam product though. That would concern me more than anything else, having a product not compatible and it eating the foam.

Buddy just had his 04 replaced, sounded like it was under 300.

I would think a spray on glue and a roller to press it on would work

Take the headliner down and deliver it to a local upholster. He'll spray it with contact cement and apply a new padded fabric over the old form. It was cheap on my '99 GMC and looked great.

Can do it yourself easy, just need to scrape all the old foam off before you apply spray glue and new material. Its the foam that breaks down and then the fabric sags. Home depot has the glue and these place have the material 1 yd for a reg cab and 2 for for 1.5 cab. http://hancockfabrics.com/headliner-fabric there are several locations around DFW or this place http://www.headliner-magic.com/home-page.html
