I am waiting on my tax stamps to clear right now but have a SilencerCo Spectre II on the list and now need a great platform to run it off of. I'm going to do a Ruger 10/22 and maybe a good Savage Bolt Action .22 just for pure silence. I havent seen too many factory model 10/22s that are threaded. I was wondering if anybody out there would mind posting pics of the threaded 10/22s and let me see what they have done.

Thanks in Advance

Don't have access to pics, at the moment, but here are the 22s I'm currently running quiet:

Ruger 55/22 Lite
Ruger Takedown 22 (tha kit with the threaded barrel)
Ruger American Rimfire bolt (also the one with threaded barrel)
10/22 Volquartsen kit (very accurate)

Not much of a Ruger fan elsewhere, but they rule my 22 world.

I currently have a Sparrow, and two Pilots. I also have a Spectre II and another Pilot 2 in NFA limbo. I play to keep building the collection.

So far, odd as it sounds, the Pilot is my favorite 22lr can. It's small, quiet, and very cheap (especially with the AAC $200 credits that I just used to buy an upper). The Spectre and Sparrow will likely see most of their work on upcoming 17HMR and 22 Mag projects.

Of all of the above combos, I think my takedown 22 is the most fun. Throwing that rifle, with a 22/45 and two cans into that little backpack is a heck of a blast.

But I wish Ruger made a bolt version of their takedown kit. When shooting subs, most semis act like bolts anyhow. And a bolt 22lr, shooting subs, is very quiet... great yard gun.

I had found a lightly used 10/22 and ended up buying a Tactical Solutions fluted and threaded 16.5" bull barrel. Added a Hogue stock and a Bushnell AR223 1-4x24 scope.

I'm still waiting for my YHM Stinger 22mag rated can paperwork to come in....

I've got the ruger 10/22 tactical or whatever it is called. Love it with the can on it. Oh, and I have no problem cycling subs or supersonic ammo through it.

22 rifles are pretty easy to suppress so you will be happy with any option you pick.

I run a Kidd threaded barrel (5.5") on my 10/22 with form 1 suppressor
I used a stainless Tactical Innovations 10/22 barrel (5.5") as the basis of in integral suppressed savage.

The Kidd barrels are hard to beat for accuracy and they offer them threaded in 16.5" and 18"

It's scary quiet since the suppressor is so long to get the barrel length over 16"; basically 11" of suppressor. It sounds like a dry fire.

Mook, you need to get one of the Tactical Solutions SBX barrels. It will act as a faux SBR since the threaded barrel is covered by a shroud that extends the length of the barrel to 16.5". I have had a couple of them and they work great and will knock about 5" off your barrel length and they are really light weight. They are pricey and your best bet is Ebay, you can find them for about $260.

Heres mine DocHorton, extremely lightweight and shoots great.
Tactical solutions sbx barrel, brimstone tier two trigger job, the medium action spring and it still ejects subs great. I also did a light bedding job on the receiver. I usuallly run my element ii on it and my spectre 2 on my long barrel savage tr. It's been a while since i shot them and took them out last week. That first shot sure makes one grin!
