Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

TPW really screwed up when they started giving out WT breeding permits.

Does Boone & Crockett have separate categories for low and high fence? I mean there will never be a deer like that one on the open range.

From the B&C website. Agree or not this is their published position. Just posting as an FYI. So this means they would condemn any hunting of exotics behind a HF or I guess low fence as well if the exotics were initially bred in pens and then released. BTW,SCI has acategory for free range and estate (read estate as high fence).

FAIR CHASE STATEMENT
FAIR CHASE, as defined by the Boone and Crockett Club, is the ethical, sportsmanlike, and lawful pursuit and taking of any free-ranging wild, native North American big game animal in a manner that does not give the hunter an improper advantage over such animals.

Unethical “Canned” Shooting (Improperly referred to as “canned” hunting.)
The Boone and Crockett Club condemns the pursuit and killing of any big game animal kept in or released from captivity to be killed in an artificial or bogus “hunting” situation where the game lacks the equivalent chance to escape afforded free-ranging animals, virtually assuring the shooter a certain or unrealistically favorable chance of a kill.

Genetic Manipulation of Game Animals
The Boone and Crockett Club condemns artificial and unnatural enhancement of a big game species’ genetic characteristics. Unacceptable practices for genetic enhancement include, but are not limited to, artificial insemination, controlled or unnatural breeding programs, cloning, and translocation of breeding stock for canned shooting purposes

Lol, hunted on a 6000 acre high fence ranch and have yet to see it all in 5 yrs! High fence of this size keeps deer out and in!
If you want to be ethical turn your feeder off get rid of your game camera! On a low fence and still hunt! (Good Luck) texas would be so over run with deer,It would be a bad deal! My boss hunts high fence and comes home empty handed a lot!
His check book can handle the 150+ bucks
Mine CANT!!!!!!

BS!! Huge free range non typs killed every year. If he was a 400" WT I might agree, but he's far from that.

Most free range non typs. like that were pen raised and released. Look close and they probably got holes in their ears where the tag was.
