Does anyone have pictures of live traps for bobcats that they would be willing to share? I want to try to trap a bobcat using a live chicken (safe in a seperate section of the trap). Any and all tips would be appreciated as well...

Banny (sp) roosters are the best. they crow all the time. dont have any pics but my grandad built a trap years ago that was bout 16'L x 30"T x 2'W with the middle section having 2 pieces of plexi glass to protect the rooster. the trap came apart in 3 sections. kept feed and water out for the rooster so he didnt have to run it everyday. he caught a ton of cats, foxes , and coons with this. he later built some just like a regular live trap with the chicken compartment attached to the trigger end of the trap.both worked well

A 30 inch was caught last year using a live chicken on my place, been using a live chicken for bobcat for year's. Work's great.

We have used store brand canned cat food and caught bobcats. They are cautious when calling, but stupid when it comes to food.

We trapped well over 100 bobcats in my youth with live roosters as bait. Keep them fed and watered and make sure to cover the top of the cage with hay, so the chicken hawks don't see them.

Buy a regular large live trap, add the 'chicken' section onto it using 'rabbit-wire', like this:

Beaver tail is the best for bobcats. Not as easy to come by though
