Hey guys was wondering if the leupold dual dove tail bases have to be changed if i swap rings. I currently have a 30mm tube scope but just got a 1" tube scope. I know the rings turn in with a little force and im just worried about they new set not setting in just as tight as the first pair if that makes any sence lol, or if anyone can recommend a good combo of bases and rings for a winchester model 70 (270 win) it be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I think you can turn the rings in and out a few times without things loosening up. I wouldn't do it on a routine basis though.

perhaps an easier mounting system might be leupold bases Product #49835 and PRW Rings.
