I think one of the better quality hunts as many know on THF is Sagebrush. http://www.sagebrushhunts.com/I hear terrible things about McMillan Outfitters although all the big hunting shows go there. Price is 2x and Tom is supposedly the biggest [censored]. I used Rod at Southeast Kansas Outfitters for years and he helped me find the land we bought. I never tagged out the 3 years with him (I drew blood once on nice 8). Mom and I did tag out on nice deer on the land we bought. Rod had a client stick a 179" just a few weeks ago. Rod is no frills, stay in motel and take care of your own meals. http://www.sekoutfitters.com/

I usually see 160's and up, but getting them into bow range, sometimes just doesn't work out. If you can time the rut just right, shooting a 180-200 isn't out of the question. It's those that I see that keep me going back.

I used M.O.K. Hunts this year for muzzleloader. He specializes in archery and muzzloader hunts. My hunt was doomed from the start because all the big deers went nocturnal three days before the hunt season opened. Did see some huge bucks .....on trail camera. Rueben Martin is the guide and he uses the Two Elk Lodge in Kinsley, KS which was a great place to stay and the food was outstanding. http://www.mokhunts.com/

I hunt up there but not with an outfitter. Look into the WIHA option. I hunt a few of those tracts and see some good ones. I killed a dang nice one there this year but on private property. If I were going to hunt with an outfitter in KS, I would take a hard look a Midwest Whitetail Adventures.

I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

I met the McMillans at the NRA convention in Houston a couple years ago, He does come across as an A-Hole.
