I'm headed up to do some work on a friends small farm that borders a river. I am just wondering if there may be a report from someone in the area. It will be my first try at ducks

Isn't the best way to save face to keep the lower part shut?

Not for two weeks it won't be. Not unless you want to wait a week and head up and over to OK.

The unit I'm going to be in is within the hpmmu unit. I don't think there is a 2 week split there. I may be wrong.

Well, in that case, very cool and good luck!

You are correct. Crowell is in the HPMMU and there is not a split. Scout the area you have access to obviously, but there generally are birds in that area.
