Had a couple stolen last week. One was a custom .300 win mag/night force scope and the other was a remington 700/swarovski z5 scope. They also got a glock pistol that they then used in a armed robbery and a pair of swarovski El's 10x42's. Happened while visit in family in shreveport.
Anyone know of any gun forums based in that area?

I didn't have any luck. After the police report, you just have to keep an eye out on forums, gun shows, and sell sites. Put word out like you are doing now. And hope the scum that took it try to sell to a reputable shop that runs serial numbers. Good Luck. So they recovered the Glock?

The lady i talked to didnt have many details. She was way more interested in getting to lunch than helping me in any way

That stinks. Had an XDs stolen from my truck at the airport. They got in through the door handle panel and I never even knew it till I got home.

Good luck. My house got broken into about 6 years ago. I did not have a steel safe then. They took my rifles and pistols. I was insured for them so I was not out any money, but it's still BS. The sad thing is the police department calls me once a year since asking if I have gotten my guns back. Really? You are calling to see if they have been recovered? Joke!

Happened while visiting family? I'll put $10 you left them in your vehicle, because glass offers such good protection.

i've only recovered one. i found it myself while browsing in a pawn shop. "yes sir! we have officers that regularly check with every pawn shop for stolen goods." "the sad thing is the police dept. calls me once a year since asking if i have gotten my guns back. really? you are calling to see if they have been recovered? " yes it is sad. they stopped calling me about my 4-wheeler after i started calling them asking about the progress made in finding it. mexico must be a cluttered place, because any time something is stolen, the answer i always get is " it's probably already in mexico by now. . .". there must be stolen goods stacked six feet high wherever you turn there. no wonder they all sneak in here, there's no place to lay down for all the stolen goods.
