Nice chilly afternoon, so off I went to my favorite blind. Had no plans to shoot a buck, so I took the 220 and hoped for a coyote. Also took the whirligig thing that spins and has feathers on the top. Before too long, here comes a 6 point, walking real slow and apparently fascinated by the whirligig thing. He must have stared at it for 10 minutes, from this angle and that angle. Finally left. 10 minutes later here comes a 9 point who did the same thing. Absolutely fascinated by that thing. He'd snort and stamp his hoof.
Never saw a coyote. But I had fun.

Probably could have if the wind had been out of the south, but it would have been a faint noise. They did move the roosters. Whew! I'm after the wife to make them some cookies, so I can swipe a few.
