That was covered over in the optics section. You might have to go back a bit to find it. If you were wanting it for hunting, that would likely be a big disappointment for you.

Not FOR hunting per se, but WHILE hunting. A lot of times when I'm sitting in the dark and hear something around me pretty close, it'd be nice to have something I could easily whip-out and see what's making the noise, or at least give me a relative size of the noise maker. If it would work out to 50-60', I'd be happy.

I have one, it works well for what it is, but it's not for hunting is the short answer. I'll sell you mine. Charlie

Um, no, it isn't going to work for hunting, even if hunting is trying to ID animals nearby that are making noise. As seen in this video, telling that this guy's dogs are dogs is pretty tough from even closer distances. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osy-EN_UHAACheck out this big boy from 10 feet to 75 yards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIYYsuTsNRUThe resolution isn't there to be much use for identifying animals.

Thanks guys. DNS, I never even thought to try to look for vids on YouTube. Except for the THF and a couple other things, I don't do the computer too much. I appreciate the information gentlemen.

From those videos it looks like it could still be useful. At least if you wanted to see if something was at your feeder (or in the woods next to it) or not before you cut a light on.
