So after all the vanilla talk I have been trying it most of the times I have been hunting this year. It's been funny since I have not seen a lot of deer this yr but every time I have had a young buck show up they have gone straight to the vanilla sprayed corn. Put it on the wife's feeder this past weekend and she had two young does show up. They completely avoided it and were even spooky about it. Maybe it only works for bucks??? One can only hope.

Did you use Extract cause if you did that explains why they shy from it.

I've had much better results with c'mere deer corn coat than with the vanilla both extract and vanilla beans. The bucks really like it and I've watched them pick it over the plain corn. Peanut butter has done well also. Spread it on my feeder legs and rocks the smell is strong brings in the deer great.

Was hand corning a bow set every time I hunted. The only time it didn't get cleaned up was with vanilla in it. I guess it is a hit or miss deal.

Branden, why is the extract bad? What do you use in place? Thanks, Larry

Are you talking about using the baker's vanilla instead of the extract? My observation has been strange since bucks have gone to it and the does at least the young ones stayed away. I should add that all of the vanilla corn was left after the deer hit it in daylight was eaten that night. Just a weird observation.
