If the tax man is good to me this year I'm thinking a suppressor will be in my future. Doesn't have to be the cheapest or the most expensive but want a good value. Will be primarily used on a 300 blackout but would like to be interchangeable to other guns. Think a 300 win mag or something for longer range hunting will be in my future as well so something I want to keep in mind as well. Of course I haven't bought the bigger gun yet either so that's not set in stone. I'm about as clueless as it gets when it comes to them so what do I need to know and look for? Suggestions would be nice as well as someone reputable to buy from.

Buy one 300 Win Mag rated. Since you're thinking of one you will probably get one some day. Plus the suppressor rated for the 300 Win Mag will make short action cartridges quieter. Bit they are longer and heavier. Everything is a trade off.

I have a Tiger Shark that I shoot .223, .22-250, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 7 Rem Mag through.

The best advice is to go to www.SilencerShop.com They will tell you everything you need to know about buying one, reviews, videos, etc.

Not sure I'm ready to step up to tiger shark unless they are much cheaper than Msrp.

That's good info. So many out there these days and not much info to be found on them all.

+1 on Silencershop.com. Good place to compare and really good pricing.

Why? They are all getting answered and it isn't like this board isn't so busy stuff rolls off the bottom. I don't want another place I have to go to look for crap to talk about grin

To the OP...I bought a Shark (the little 308 one) and it's in jail right now. I know 5 people who have them and they all love them. My gunsmith sells them and says if someone isn't looking for just the cheapest (in which case he sells the Thunderbeast) then he tells them the Shark is the best. I like the guy is local and I like the can you can disassemble to clean. Plus, David is a super nice guy and I prefer to give my money to people who appreciate it.

Not gonna price shop it much but who can be a good one stop shop for a good variety to check out. I'm in east Texas so I know it's limited here but in Dfw often.

For the last couple of months Ive been pushing 230 bergers out of a 27" DTA winmag through my shark suppressor. No problems at all...ZERO! Davids cans are top notch as is he to boot. Think Im at around the 5k rounds fired on this can.
