I check Slickguns.com every morning to see what companies have on sale. Seems like prices on everything are coming down. Lowers for $39.00, Bushmaster Carbon AR-15 for $380.00, lots of free shipping and discounts on premium equipment like triggers and uppers I have never seen before.
Do you guys think this is seasonal or a sign that sales are slowing down and manufactures are getting desperate?

Crashing, don't know but I see regular AR's for under $600 regularly. Probably just coming down to where the should be in pricing.

Supply and demand. Demand went up so manufacturers tooled up production. Now there is a gross supply so it's a buyers market.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Crashed. Can't see how it could get any cheaper. If you are going to buy, now is the time.

For the more common parts maybe (lowers, lpks, accessories), but match grade uppers and other uncommon parts are still hard to find. Been waiting for a White Oak match upper to become available for months.

Good stuff is still top dollar because it's well, top stuff. Market got saturated after the panic and now we're reaping the benefits on the lower end stuff.

Get it now though while the prices and the getting is good because sure as anything there are politicians out there that want nothing more than to take your guns away at the earliest opportunity. That last scare wasn't the first one and it won't be the last...

Its been crashed a while..... I think sooner or later they will start to go back up as excess inventory is cleared out.
If you want cheap AR's just about any holiday you can get a whole gun from PSA for $400-$475. Someone had Colt 6920's for $800 a few weeks ago and 6720's for about the same. There is a dealer here in Granbury that has $45 anderson lowers.

Everyone that paid $2000 for ARs is going to have to keep them or take it in the shorts.
AR production has caught up with the market. Sub $500 ARs are going to be commonplace.

Lowers that cost $100+ last year are $50 and continuously in stock. Just started my next build the other day with one I picked up.

This. There are other "Black Guns" than ARs. People seem to forget about this.

I remember being at Cabela's during the time AR's were..."over valued" and listening to all the "experts" clamoring to buy ANY AR at ANY price. It happened on this forum too. The panic reaction was interesting. The scalping was breathtaking, and pretty darned widespread. "There's a sucker born every minute" was proven to be a correct statement as those not buying in more favorable times pricewise were suddenly very willing to spend two times and more the value just to get their hands on one. Yeah, you can call it "supply and demand" as the "demand" by the herd drove pricing to bat$hit crazy levels. Reminds me of the hype around gold and silver, along with the demand for .22lr. Just more of a short lived thing. Funny how the market corrects itself. Oh well. If one were looking to buy, now would be a pretty good time comparatively to do it.

I was at the Tyler gun show this weekend and what was filled with ar parts and guns was now back to pistols shotguns and bolt actions. Very few ar only tables. Saw 4 lowers total. And a good amount of complete guns but not like before. And all very fair prices.

And a good amount of complete guns but not like before. And all very fair prices. I was there Sunday afternoon and made the same observation. I picked up a couple cans of powder at $27/lb, tax included. Saw lots of Varget for the first time in a long while. Re-22 and Re-15 is still in short supply, though.
