Does this stuff work or is it more of a gimmick?

It's like fishing. If the fish are hungry, and if they're in the area, they'll attack the lure.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

I recently put out some acorn rage liquid stuff, put some on bare ground, and also had some poured into a cup shaped piece of bark, so it was like a little bowl of the liquid sitting there.
Watched four deer walk right past it (within a few feet) without even pausing to sniff it! May work better if the deer have more time to discover it or something, but I was pretty underwhelmed.

My deer love the Sugar Beets from Lee and Tiffany. They look like Rudolph(red noses) when they pick their heads up. I can put it out any time and two or three deer will stay at the piles for 20-30 minutes at a time. Shot my oldest buck ever last year at a pile I made mixed with corn.

It took deer 2 years to find it on my place. Now I have a hole 3' in diameter x 18" deep. It got "freshened up" this year with another batch. I used the powder and just mixed it in the soil.

You can make your own, for far cheaper than that stuff. I got a recipe years ago somewhere, if y'all want it I can try to find it and post it. Pretty much the same thing without the marketing and cost.

Yep, the sugar beet crush works well. I've used both here and in KS and the deer really seem to like it. Pigs too.

Homemade "cocaine" for deer I don't recall where I got this, I wrote it on a piece of paper that is quite faded now. If I knew where I got it, I would sure post for their credit.. All available at a feed store in 50# bag 2 parts Trace mineral salt, Non medicated, granular kind. (2 50# bags) 1 part loose/granular stalk salt 1 part Di-calcium phosphate, (a feed additive for dairy's use) Keep ingredients separate until ready to use, mix it all and you have 200#, or use a large can or something to mix the parts at that ratio's. Pour in prepared hole as you do with other minerals, 6-8" deep a few feet around and mix with the dirt. My notes say refresh either every 6 months or 8? can't read it.

I have used it and the dry powder in Collingsworth County and the deer use it a lot. They will dig it down deep. I refresh it about one per year. The deer also like the trophy rock well. But as previously posted they might like other salts too. I think they use it more in the spring than this time of year.

I use deer cane. I've noticed they always find any attractant it put out. But the deer cane always gets messed with. Sometimes they don't mess with it for a while then I'll go check and the ground is just destroyed. I just put out a few more spots of it this last week
