This buck was taken last Monday (November 24th) at a buddy's place in Muleshoe, Texas. This was my first Mule Deer so I was pretty pleased with him. I spotted him on a sand hill about 650 yards away. Got within 260 yards of him, steadied my shot and dropped him. I was shooting my Savage 30-06 with 165 grain Hornady Superformance SST bullets. Anyway, I thought I'd share a success story! Thanks.

That's awesome. I live in Clovis and have been trying to find somewhere in W TX where a ranch will allow me to hunt for Muleys...no luck so far. Congrats on your first Muley, hunting them in the sandhills is addicting.
