I was thinking of getting one of these until I noticed the blind magazine. If I put it into a different stock, can I convert it to a DBM?

Why? You need more than 4 shots? I am just asking because I see a lot of folks doing it. It's also a $400 dollar gun, and the bottom metal and mag will be close to $300. Sure easy drop in a B&C medalist put some CDI bottom metal on it and buy a AICS mag should tear up $500 pretty easy. Or drop into a AICS chassis that should tear up close to $1000. Or use it the way it is...

A lot of the original intent of the detachable box magazines was to get cartridges to feed that were notorious not to feed in Remington 700 and savage 10s like the WSMs and the Ultra-Mags by utilizing a single stack feeding method. Also they were used to make cartridges fit like the 338 Lapua into actions like the Remmy 700, which is not a good idea in my opinion. There are better options out there. There are others that like the 8-10 shot capacity, but I find a magazine that hangs that far out ugly and unwieldy.

Just some thoughts...

Its actually easier to buy after market stocks with the blind magazine. You can add the DBM if you like, but go for it the gun either way! Savage rifles are great and you can customize them to shot whatever and however you want.
