On a 308, what's y'all's opinion on the forward assist? It's really not needed, is it?
Man if I knew what Oxner knows I could throw away what I know

I like everything there is about Wilson Combat except the price tag. I would think you could get the same results for a lot less than $2,995.

On a 308, what's y'all's opinion on the forward assist? It's really not needed, is it? There is a groove in the bolt of ARs that is made to put your thumb into and force the bolt into battery if needed. The forward assist is completely unnecessary.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I have 2 WC rifles A complete in 6.8 and a 14.5" 5.56 I built from their parts.
Building an AR10 that runs well can be tricky..
I am prostaff so I get a good deal. Yes, their stuff is pricey but they run and no one has better customer service.
