It's been a ghost town in Windthorst. No action on the wheat fields. No action at the feeders. A few doe on the cams at night. The bucks have vanished. Hard to figure...

I also hunt clay and archer, south of henrietta and in Scotland. The deer were consistent up until around second week of gun season and they have vanished. Saw some doe and a small 7pt hitting my one feeder on camera but didn't hunt it this weekend as we were all in at Scotland. Should have gone to henrietta since we saw nothing in Scotland all weekend.
The weather this past weekend didn't help at all. We did run off some deer in my food plot, looked to be maybe a buck and two doe but hard to say, at night when I filled my feeders in Henrietta Friday night.
Weather will change and the deer will be back. I am waiting until mid December before going back. I think it might be a combination of weather, good for and still available, and hunting pressure that is driving them away? But I don't have a clue, other than to say I have seen the same exact thing you have!

I hunt Archer County. Been on this place for 6 or 7 years. Pretty common scenario. They will be back most years. My place usually gets good again in mid December. Need nasty weather.

This thread makes me feel a little better. Our lease has been a ghost town all year. Very few deer on camera with nothing over 130. Usually we have pics of a couple deer each year above that. Our numbers seem to be really low overall and the quality isn't high either for the first time.
The last four years we have been satisfied with low numbers because of the size but this year it has been neither. Hard to stomach for the money we are paying.

Ours in Clay has been pretty slow due to acorns have had them tied up.
