Saw this bird in the backyard just a few minutes ago. She let e get within 10 feet so I'm thinking she might be hurt. I live less than a mile from Upland Bird Country and heard shooting yesterday, so she must be a survivor. LOL

Very cool. Hope it is okay, or you get a meal out of it.

I'll let it be. She was moving around pretty good. Wouldn't amount to more than a snack for me.

I was just looking at the Upland Bird Country website and they charge $285 for a 10 bird, 4 hour Chukar hunt. That's a $28 bird. LOL

I was wondering if I could trade it for a steak dinner somewhere!

Can anyone tell me if this is a male or a female? If it's a female I wanna catch it.

I once had a friend that "Saved" a wounded morning dove. It survived another 22 years. You may want to dig a little deeper to see what your getting into before you catch it. LOL

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

Definitely a Chukar and they are good eating too. To me they taste like something between a pheasant and a chicken.

A good tasting bird, but I would want more than one.

That's funny...I see them quite often around Chalk mountain. Pen raised but they seem to thrive. My Son had one that nested in his companies workshop near Haltom road and 820 a few months ago. No idea where it came from.
