Well, got a call from a guy Saturday morning that his son had shot a deer North of Graford and he needed a tracking dog. I was in Waco for the holiday so I gave him a couple numbers of some guys that might come help and he called me back that night saying nobody could make it and would I please come after lunch tomorrow. He told me it was his 6 year old sons first buck and he really wanted to recover it. So I headed 2+ hours up the road to Graford after lunch and met with them about 2:15 and headed out to track the deer. 1 1/2 miles and 600ft + in elevation climb straight freakin up later we had him on the ground. You should have seen the boy smiling when we brought back his buck banana banana

I gained about 3 lbs on Thursday and I guarantee I lost it all plus some climbing that hill to get this buck loco_too It was totally worth it but if I never have to chase one up a briar covered hill like that again I will be just fine smile

And a Ribeye or ten to txvarminter. Great story and a heck of a stand-up thing for you to do.

Before anyone thinks I'm an angel This is part of our Guide business which we enjoy but it is not a free service. I would love to be able to do if for free or tips but that won't put fuel or tires on The Reaper and dang sure wouldn't pay for repairs.

As to the way to go txvarminter.... it ain't me I assure you it's all in Radars God given abilitiesflehanflehan. God gave him the nose and the instincts. It's all I can do most days to keep my fat butt up with him scared
