Ok so I am having a 6.5x284 put together right now. I need help choosing the glass that will go on top.
Zeiss HD5 5-20
Nightforce SHV 5-20
Leupold vx6
Swarovski z5 5-25

First and foremost Clarity is number 1 priority
Low light capability is 2nd
1st or 2nd focal plane doesn't matter
1"or 30mm don't care

Just want a great dependable scope that will not let me down.

At that level best to take them out for a test drive before buying - a lot choice comes down to your eyes or spreadsheet it out for other features

Linear Field of View (ft/100 yd)
Linear Field of View (m/100 m)
Eye Relief (in)
Eye Relief (mm)
Weight (oz)
Weight (g)
Objective Clear Aperture (in)
Objective Clear Aperture (mm)
Elevation Adjustment Range
Windage Adjustment Range
Reticle choices
Parallax
Twilight Factor

But have to agree w Bob my 1st choice was swaro

If you plan to dial at all then the NightForce. If just to sight in and leave then any would be fine and the Swaro will have the better glass of those options.

It's all about matching the optic to how you hunt. Long rang shooting that involves dialing makes NF the choice. If your not dialing and need to optimize low light performance then the Swarovski followed by Zeiss. It comes down to the old saying 'horses for courses'.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

An SS got me to 30 minutes past legal light Friday and Saturday night. I suspect any in the list will do the same.
