Now if i could only get an opportunity at him! I have hunted the place 3 times where my game camera is setup and no dice so far. He came right at 530 the first time but havent seen him in person yet. I know that deer has gotta be smart as hell, im guessing hes about a 5.5-6.5 year old deer...Seems like most of the deer are coming at night, any recomendations on how to get this big boy? I wash my clothes in scent prevent, wash in no scent soap and spray myself. Its bow only so gotta be within 20-30 yards. Tips are welcome!! He came right at dusk once, and then on out hes been coming at night.

The thread is useless without knowing which corp property your talking about Maybe when it gets real cold he might start showing himself more in shooting hours. I would spend every possible hour I could in a tree if I had a buck like that showing up. That's a great buck. Hope you get him!!

Well never did get the big guy. I'll tell you what i have never seen so many deer in one place as where im hunting. The only problem was i never saw one deer while i was actually hunting, i was either never there at the right time or they were smelling me. Its a real mystery...i definitely worked hard trying to get one. I would have been happy just harvesting a doe. But i guess thats why they call it hunting. There were 4 different mature bucks coming, 2 spikes and as many as 8 does at one time coming to feed at my corn pile. I have to go back to work offshore wednesday so thats the 2014 deer season for me. Better luck next year! Here is a picture of a very nice 8pt that was coming. Wish id have seen him while i was there! Bow hunting is tough... I did see 2 bobcats one day, they were fun to watch! Such cool animals... I even had a pack of wild dogs pass by my game camera one night at midnight...wierd stuff.
