Have seen deer do the water dance 2 times, doe and 2 fawns in the Lampassas river in 1991 and this year in a shallow tank in Eastland county. The ones at the tank there were 2 does one yearling and 3 bucks chasing one doe. Heard the splashing from 250 yards away from the stand and slipped in to 80 yards to watch the show.

No bucks down! The rut has subsided with the warmer weather and the bred does are beginning to gather up again in groups of three or more.. Always good to get outside and roam around the river bottom even if the big buck you are looking for doesn't show...

that's a deer/pig toy.. they can smell the corn and mess with the bottle but never get anything out of it.. most of the deer and pigs seem to ignore it..

Were you on private land in your truck when you saw the pigs?

Yes I was right in the middle of the ranch on my way down to the oak flat where my cameras are located.

I'm going to pick up a shooting stick so I won't miss anymore pigs.. no excuse I should have dropped both of those pigs I shot at Sunday, easy open shot of about 100yds. Those two shots are my first missed pig or deer since first hunting the ranch in 2011. My primary objective is to kill pigs and I missed a golden opportunity to take those two down and out.. I can't hunt enough to be very effective at population control but every pig down is one little step in the right direction..

Those two bucks above are not the same. Left G2 is shorter on 1 and longer on the other.
