Thinking about getting this in the .270. Anyone have any experience with one? Give my your opinion on it. Thanks

$299?

Where for $299? I saw $399 at BP and thought that was a deal.

I'm all in at $299.

I went ahead and bought it at cabelas. It was $379 after $100 mail in rebate. Bass pro shop has it for $399 after mail in rebate. Can't bet the price.

we went to dallas beginning of the month for the nascar race hit up bass pro when we got there saw the ab3 for 499 in the sale paper and was ready to buy. went to the gun racks and saw a 270 that was 399. guys at the gun counter could not explain it and manager had went home for the day. the next day while at the race track called and spoke with the manager he could not explain why one rifle would be 100 cheaper than the rest and told me if I would swing back by he would sell me the 30-06 for the same price. it rang up 399.00 to begin with guess I should have had it price checked. and then the 100 rebate from browning and I was a happy camper getting the wife a new rifle she wanted for 299. she is a good shot with it too now we just need the deer to show up for her.

You never look a gift horse in the mouth...I am constantly amazed at the glitches that price programs in retail chain computers come up with. It is more expensive in EE & IT time to fix some things... but If it's in my favor on a single item and all the rest of the similar product are correctly priced then the mistake is on the Retailer, and I'll say a quiet prayer of thanks, and put some xtra $'s in the Charity baskets that I regularly support. My turn to need those baskets may come someday, and I like to pay "foundlings" forward a little.

OTOH I try at all costs to be an informed consumer,and know the differences on what things cost to keep from getting ripped off....or recognize the unplanned opportunity.
