Here are two game cam pictures of a big bore that has been showing up the last two weeks! I have two 35 gallon barrels that i fill with corn and drill holes for a "pig pipe" on steroids. The pigs just eat these barrels in a circle and knock the corn out for hours.
To put the pig and barrel in perspective...the dimensions of the barrel are 32" tall and the lid/bottom are 20" diameter...which is just a little smaller than center of barrel.
This pig makes the barrel look like a bucket! I have killed 3 pigs over the last two years on this property that weighed 288lbs, 301lbs, and 318lbs all weighed on a scale. This one looks to be in that same range from what i can tell but welcome your thoughts. When i kill him, i will let you know who was closest! The chest and head are just massive...
Also, i assume these are the same pigs...but these were taken at different days and times. So there is no telling.

Thoughts?

That is definitely a nice sized animal pushing that 300 level would not be out of the question.

Well, here he is again! That makes 3 out of 4 nights! This was last night at my other field that has a barrel in it. Sorry its so grainy but i had to zoom in since the camera is a bit further from barrel than other field.

DNS...i spit dr pepper on my screen when i read that! No Sir, it will be my .308 or 6.8 depending on which thermal scope im looking to use. Either will have a full clip just in case my first shot is not well placed!

BLAKESTER...thanks for that link! I will keep it in mind if i am fortunate enough to bring this beast down. Im going out tomorrow morning through weekend so maybe i will get lucky!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I like how you can see his shield bulges on his shoulders. He looks pretty darned massive!

If I wasn't comfortable with a head shot I would break both shoulders. But base of ear would be my first choice if the range is fairly short.

LOL, I am not sure what you mean by the range being short, but with a head that size, he should be able to hit it from considerable distance! roflmao

We killed one last year that went 320 on the scales. He was a barr hog. Someone had probably caught him when he was small, and cut his wee-belows.. I think your hog is the same as I can't see any danglies in the back under his tail.

When they get that big they usually have good tusks because they are not fighting to breed with females so they have few scars, big tusks, and are massive in size.

I bet when/if you kill him you will see he has been cut.

Good luck. That's a beast. I don't have a printer, because I spend my money on nv and guns. So I just used a black permanent marker on a sheet of paper.

LMAO...you guys are killing me! Well, i was going to aim for his neck until i realized HE DOESNT HAVE ONE! eek2 I'm live at the property right now and i had a big group come in at 11:00 pm last night but i didn't see him in it so i chose not to shoot and run the risk of him being somewhere close in the woods and running him off. First time in my life i have watched a group of pigs eat 70 yards from me without hammering one!

The wind has picked up big time today and the temps are going way up too! I sure hope it doesn't change his behavior and his big [censored] walks out tonight!

Cheers!
