The gun was built on a remington seven. It will hold 2 rounds down and one in the gun. I added 4 pounds of lead to the stock to soak up some of the recoil. To top it off, i installed a jp coolie brake to tone off a bit more recoil.
It is completely comfortable to shoot now. Guns up and I shot a deer with it a few days ago. The deer turned a complete flip and was DRT. The entry and exit wound however were minimal considering the caliber and neither shoulder was bloodshot. Awesome pig gun. Full story to follow when guns up lets the cat out of the bag.

For sure not a 350 Remington Mag, no belt and rebated rim.
If not a 358 WSM or 375 WSM, perhaps a 9.3 WSM or even a 410WSM.
The body of the case looks too long for a RSAUM case as the parent and about right in case size for the WSM family.

How close does that come to the Lazzeroni Maverick?
Those big moderate velocity bullets sure are effective on game without a lot of bloodshot meat. One of the things I like about hunting with the 45-70 and 44 Magnum.
Are the velocities around 300gr bullet 2600fps 400gr bullet 2400fps

It's actually a 416 wsm. The bbc on here custom made it and will chime in with all the details. It's a 300gr bullet.

I havent chronoed it yet. Quickloads says its around 2500 using cfe223 powder. The brass is made out of 7mm ultramag brass. Each piece is cut off in the lathe behind the shoulder and rough formed in a forming die. It is the trimmed to length, neck turned in the lathe, and FL sized. The initial load development was brutal. I had yet to add the 4lbs of lead to the stock of the tiny model 7, and it was without the brake at the time.
With the powder situation, i wanted to use something i had a ton of so i worked up a max load using cfe223 and that was that. I wasnt looking for tight groups or max velocity. Just a big mover. Recoil is about .308ish. Muzzle blast is moderate with the brake. Down range energy is ridiculous.
