I finally found an old photo of mine that I took quite a few years ago of an old doe giving the stink eye to a coyote. She had twins bedded down just off the road and as you can tell by her ears she had no intention of giving either one to this intruder. The photo was from about 150 yards away so I know its not too great but I always liked it. You have to love the protection instinct ingrained in most females.Photography tip for the day---- ground blinds are much better for photography and your shots look more natural. Later Baker

Yeah, no lone yote is pulling squat on an old mama doe.

Watched one chase a tail-tucked yote all over our pasture for almost an hour a couple years back. Was actually really funny, but she wasn't bluffing at all. Every time the yote tried to stop and growl, she raised up and tried to hoof smack him.

He wasn't getting her fawn. Period.

In fairness to the yotes feelings, the same doe backed me all the way out a week later. She never charged, but she followed me for almost 400 yards with her ears pinned back. Mean old b...
