2 layers of foam insulation to level the bottom with the rungs. Measure yours to see how thick you need. Then horse stall matting on top. Super stable and very cushioned.

Yours may be different, but we used two layers of 3/4" insulation and 3/8" rubber matting. The matting is a bit heavy, but it won't go anywhere! Boat has been sitting out in the weather and is holding up great.

By the way, don't put that foam stuff where the gas tank is. I think styrofoam and gas mixing makes something that could ruin your day with one spark.

Watched a guy [attempt to] pump 35 cents worth of gas into a styrofoam cup in hopes to walk back to his empty truck.

Where did u buy the foam and the rubber matting at? When u say foam do u mean Styrofoam?

Got the foam at Lowe's. It's sheets of foam insulation which is basically styrofoam. The matting came from Atwoods, but you could get it probably at any farm/ranch supply.
