Who do you guys recommend for duck mounts in the Austin area?

My 11 year old shot his first Gadwall and I want to mount it for him for Christmas. Great looking bird.

Thank you!

Top Gun Taxidermy in Holland, TX. Randy Pistole did a great job with my bufflehead and I'm dropping off a greenhead this week when I get a chance and some $cratch.

Check out Reeder's Taxidermy up here in Bell county. One of the guys who does the birds is my neighbor and I've seen his pheasant and pintail work... they look great!!! He's doing my Canvasback Pairs mount.

I am a little bit new to the taxidermy game- so I'm sure there are other fine taxidermists that might be closer to you.

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

Don't restrict yourself to a local taxidermist. I have shipped my last five to Birdworks in Colorado and they have turned out awesome. Freeze your bird thoroughly and place in box with lots of newspaper for insulation. I always ship mine via Fed Ex in the winter months to avoid warm temps. Also, ship bird out on Monday or Tuesday only just in case.

You will be hard pressed to get one done before Christmas though..........
