Give him a bus ticket to Taylor county, someone here would shoot him.

Would gladly do it. Just out there spreading his DNA. We have several that will be following suit. I am quite certain he tastes just as good as a legal deer too.

I feel your pain, that is the type of deer we have in East Texas. Had to let 9 and 10 points walk for the past 4 years.

It's a shame you aren't allowed to take a deer like that...

There are always exceptions to any rule but for the most part, the restrictions are working.

I have one of them. Kinda frustrating. And, this year, he's a 10 point. Last year, he was a 12.

Would be nice to see TPW come up with a way to allow mature deer that are less than 13 inches to be harvested. Seems like with technology today this could be accomplished by having an email contact to a TPW biologist that could send you back a printable approval tag to harvest these deer.

I've seen restrictions on turkeys based on beard length, or any mature bird.

I feel your pain. Hunt in Burleson county.
Have a 5 1/2 year old that has eight points one side and three on the other.
He looks to be 12 inches wide but very tall.
Body size will make three of the young bucks.

Ok, I'm gonna say it since I have seen it. What makes you think his ears are only 13 inches apart? What if...................it's 15" apart??

Get you property on MLD and you dont use your tags or have AR Depends on the biologist. I have hunted MLD in Upshur county where the biologist actually reduced the number of bucks to Two for the 500 acres and required them to be over 14". Yes... 14"... We had lots of doe tags but 2 buck tags to share with 8 hunters.

If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Seems like with technology today this could be accomplished by having an email contact to a TPW biologist that could send you back a printable approval tag to harvest these deer. They won't do it, we have two OLD bucks that don't make 13", sent the biologist in the county pics and he said sorry just have to let nature run it course. I honestly don't mind because they are the exception to the rule and overall since the AR's have started we have seen a big increase in the buck population and the # of mature bucks we are getting on the game cam...

I have those high narrow genetics around my place too though I can't say I have seen one that old with one that tall and narrow. I also have the "no browtines" genetic but I have good ones too so I just wait them out. It is frustrating though.
