No you don't. Brown and dark greens. Shadow grass, max 4 or 5. Be looking like a sour crout with orange.

Not required while waterfowl hunting but is smart when walking to your spot

Get your local rule sheet and read it for starters, local rules apply for many places.

On most COE land, blaze orange is required for each hunter, and their dog, while walking TO and FROM your hunting spot but not while hunting. It's one of those rules that makes some sense but good luck getting it enforced. Starting to think Texas is a free for all state with all the morons out doing stupid stuff on literally every hunt and nothing done about it.

So there's your answer and my rant for the day. Happy hunting

Michael ,
Benvenuti alla Caccia forum Texas . Che tipo di caccia avete in Italia ? Non cacciano anatre in Italia ? Come su Snipe ?

One of the Ft. Worth District Corps lakes now requires your dog to wear both a tracking collar and orange not just walking in, but while hunting. And for all hunting including waterfowl hunting. I seriously doubt many if any are complying with it, but it's on the books now.

I think the clanking of the decoys on my back may give them a clue that I'm not a deer. You can hear me a mile away.

BLAZE ORANGE
All hunters are required to wear a minimum of 400 square inches of daylight fluorescent orange above the waist (at least 144 square inches must be visible on both the chest and back) and some type of orange head wear when walking in a designated hunting area. Persons hunting deer, turkey, or feral hog during state archery only season and persons hunting turkey, waterfowl, or migratory birds may remove the orange outerwear when they reach their blind or immediate hunting area. No other exceptions will be made.
