I have just bought two of these ultralight real wing decoys. On my first test flight, when I got it in the air it looked really good. I was using a motion pole that they sell and probably had 30 to 40 foot of monofilament line that it comes with out. I have Read that some people use braided line with it? I also wonder how much line you should use with this motion pole? Or if you should just use a stake in the ground? I know some people think that these decoys are a joke, but I think they have potential if you can make them fly. I had about a 10 mile an hour wind but it may not have been steady enough to keep it in the air properly. Thanks, Shalor

I have one and hate it. Get that thing flying, walk away, and look at it from the side. It will look terrible. Also, You need 20 +mph, And it will still fall and get tangled in all of your decoys. Hope it works for you, but I am definitely not a fan!

I did a trial in the pasture today, but could only keep it up for a minute or 2...was wondering if there were any tricks to keeping it flying. Thanks for the reply.

Pray for 30 mph wind. No other tricks that I know of. It flares birds in my opinion so it stays in the garage.

Does using more line make it stay up longer? I would think if it had further to fall it would have a better chance of catching wind on the way down...I flew it in strong winds but with only 40-50 ft of line and could keep it up 5 mins tops.

I knew that was coming. I was just wondering if anybody has figured out the blue pill antidote to keep this thing up for more than five minutes. Was wondering if using braided line at at least 75 feet to 100 feet might help...looks really good in the air.
