If you haven't seen it already, there is a recall on hevi-metal and hevi-steel. In freezing temperatures, They can produce a "squib load" and the wad has potential to stick in the barrel.

Yes, I've had it happen to me 2 weeks ago. Luckily I noticed and was able to clear the barrel manually.

Thanks for the posting I have about 8 boxes I need to return.

The lot numbrs they are giving, is that a range, or does it has to be the exact number?
I have 8 boxes under that range.

Also, they say it only may happen in freezing temperatures.
Would you feel ok to use them above freezing temps?

I had about 1/2 dozen shells not fire last week from a few boxes of Heavy Metal #6 3". Cap was fully dented but no boom.
