I lived on the ranch across the river from Colorado Bend when it was known as Lemons Camp. I have also been drawn there 3 different times for deer hunts. I've hunted in most of the blocks there and in my opinion, the area that is farthest from the river is the best. This would be the entrance. The closer you get to the river the brushier it gets, lots of cedars.

I got picked last year on the same hunt, but was part of the second batch of hunter to hunt,
there. Was a cold dry weekend, saw only a few does the last morning I was there. We hunted
our group towards front of the park where ou came in on the cattle guard, that pasture the the right
very wooded, few openings, heard some pigs but never could get a shot! carry a big handgun
with you, just be prepared. Camping was great down by e river, could have stayed a week there!
They will let u bring our own popup blinds if you choose.

gud luck, stay warm!

Been there once. We had the compartment left of the campground on the river. We seen lots of deer and a monster 10 pt was killed by my nephew along with a doe. My brother missed a BIG 8, and I missed a very nice 9 pt with my bow. I ended up shooting a spike on the last morning.
