I'm making a trade on one or the other. use would be home defense, wearing at the lease, etc... I'm comparing a sig p250 compact in 40 cal, and a glock 20 non sf version. no experience with either pistol. if y'all have any with either or both id love some input. i know they both have their place, but just trying to see opinions on either

If you plan to keep and shoot the 40 will be cheaper. Personally I'd do the glock. Resell will be easier if you ever wanted to flip it for something else. Plus 10 mm is pretty nasty.

I had a 250 compact in .40, and I severely disliked the double-action only trigger, plus I have never really liked Sigs. I could hardly give it away when I went to sell it. If you wanted the best of both worlds, look into a G35 or G24.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I would recommend the Glock 20sf:
1. The 10mm is a much better round than the 40 in the hunting woods 2. You can more easily find Mags and Holsters for Glocks than Sigs 3. Higher resale or Trade Value 4. I prefer the Glock Trigger to Sig 250 Trigger 5. I prefer the Glock 20sf sight radius to the Sig 250
Just my thoughts.

You can also get a Glock conversion barrel to make the G20 a 40 S&W or even a 357 Sig. Uses same mag and everything else.

Another vote for Glock. 10mm is a nasty round.

If it is a hunting pistol or your back up hunting pistol then I say get the 10mm
If it is not for hunting in anyway then get the 40
GO TRUMP!

You can also get a Glock conversion barrel to make the G20 a 40 S&W or even a 357 Sig. Uses same mag and everything else. That won't work on the G21/G20 different size frame than the 40/357sig. Of course to glock.

Of course to glock. Seacam is right. Its just a barrel swap. Case head is the same size on them. May have to change recoil springs if anything. You can even use the same mags.

If you are comfortable with the grip frame of the Glock 20 (full size) or Glock 29 (compact), I would vote for the Glock 10mm. I carried a Glock 20 as a duty weapon for a while and transitioned to a Glock 21 (45 acp) as the department would not buy 10mm ammo. They are very easy to control due to the frame size and mine was surprisingly accurate. Just keep in mind that the Glock 20 is not easily concealable and will be a fairly heavy carry piece if you do carry concealed. I have no experience with the Sig so I really can't comment on that particle pistol.

I stand corrected sorry about that.
