I have my lab puppy on Blue Buffalo life protection puppy food. I did a lot of research to give my puppy the best start. Does anyone use this food? If not what do y'all recommend?

Also how do the ingredients and stuff look?

One thing I like to know is the amount of caloriesthe food provides. This way you can add or subtract calories (by changing food) if your dogs weight needs to be adjusted.

That is good food...what you don't want to feed is a food that is high in corn.

I like a 30/20 blend protein/fat. Not sure it makes a difference though.

Try comparing some here:

I feed Diamond All Natural. My bird dogs have done great on it.

It does make a huge difference.

You giving them that much protein/fat you need to really be working them or they will stack on weight. Also, if you have more than one dog and they aren't all labs you might have issues with the protein/fat content that high.
